Its worth pointing out that the white deer (in the first link) in the New Forest are a colour variant of the
Fallow Deer. The one in the picture is one of the Fallow bucks that hang around the Bolderwood area & come to the deer viewing platform to be fed in the summer for the public by one of the Forestry Commission Keepers.
The one that was shot on the Devon and Cornwall border (in the second link) was a white
Red Deer stag, much rarer.
