Thank you for your warm welcomes.

Last week I started shredding and chipping all the sawn off tree branches, etc. I purchased 3 large composters from the local council, £10 each and started the composting. I also started a log pile.

I will have 2 projects to do. The one mentioned already and the back yard of the house I will be renting, which is an end terrace. I had a look at goosey's website and I want to do something like that. I wasn't thinking of a pond for the back yard but I am now! I want to construct a pond for the large garden.

I have some photos already and movies. I'll make a thread and post the photos as the work progresses.

Trees. The garden has 3 large silver birches, 1 cherry tree, 1 leylandi (I think) a holly and 2 others that I do not know. One is evergreen.

So far I have found 3 dead collared doves on the ground in about 4 weeks.
