New member learning wildlife gardening

Hi everyone

I'm Christina, currently in Oldham but moving to St Helens soon. I've been working on a large garden of an elderly lady in St Helens for a couple of months (one day a weekend). It was a jungle until we got some men in to clear it and I'm now designing the future garden which I intend to make wildlife friendly.

I joined this site to pick up some tips as I'm new to this. I'm also going to have a go at garden woodwork. I intend to start by making planters, but I also want to make my own birdboxes and hedgehog boxes if there are any in that vicinity.

The first thing I did after the clearance was to put up a hanging bird feeder and we've had goldfinches, greenfinches and great tits appear, and of course, our good old friendly robins.
