Hi All,
Thought I ought to say something about what I do, now I've started trying to help with IDs and so on! I'm a palaeontologist and natural history educator, currently based in London but trying to get out. Last January my partner and I got ourselves a decent camera (Nikon D80) with macro lens (Sigma 105) for our research, but I've since become hooked on the wildlife photography as well. I was invited over here by Asheleaf (cheers!

), whom I know from Flickr; over there I run a couple of groups aimed at photographing and identifying Heteroptera and Auchenorrhyncha, which I'm particularly partial to. I've also been hunting fungi less formally for years, so I know a little bit about them too... but I stress I'm not a specialist in any living groups at all!
There are a few familiar faces over here, but hi to the rest of you, and I hope to be around a good long while.
ATB
Joe
