| one of the reasons signal crayfish have been such a probelem is their ability to disperse - they simply upped and left the fish farms which had been set up to harvest them from and have spread widely because they can cross quite a distance over land. I suggest that The Crays just wondered off in search of a bigger pond or stream. |
