Thanks Chris, I'll look out for that - I got a book token for my birthday, and was already considering getting something by Nicholas Crane.

I remember that walk anyway, as he regularly reported on it in the Daily Telegraph as he did it. I think that's right, or maybe they just serialised bits of the book - but I do remember reading it in the paper.
