Hello newcomer here,
With reference to Giant Japanese Hornets, I have had the "pleasure" of coming face to face with these somewhat large insects! My son imported a Toyota MR2 Turbo from Japan and unbeknown to us a queen had hibernated somewhere inside the car. One day my son noticed a round nest hanging from the ceiling in his garage and on close inspection we found it contained several hornets. We were somewhat speechless when we saw the size of them and not sure exactly what they were. We got a pest controller in to remove the nest back in June but only the other week we saw several more flying around in our front garden. They are beautiful looking insects but totally deadly. Their sting is so venomous that they can kill a human and so, much to my dismay, I have had to call the pest controller out again. The problem is that in no time at all the nest can contain 200 hornets, imagine that in your garage.
