| Re: Your hobbies. Back in those far off days (before t'internet, WAB and BROADBAND!) When I was unemployed I used to make all my own stuff, jam, marmalade, curd cheese, bread, grow mung beans etc (child of the 60's me right down to remembering 'flower children' cept me mother would never let me join in just in case I came into contact with an illegal substance!!!) anyway I'm rambling - I remember my bread recipes used a small amount of milk and I used to put the yeast and sugar in that and leave it in front of the fire to 'grow'. Also was told by my neighbour to put a nugget of butter into bread mix - helps the loaf to have a bit of shelf life - not that a good loaf lasts long!!
