In my opinion the best comedies have been and gone and unfortunately will never reach such heights again.
Who can forget such old classics as Rising Damp, Jasper Carrott, Faulty Towers, Not the nine O'clock news, Red Dwarf, Blackadder and One foot in the grave.
There were, of course, ones even then that were completely unfunny like Absolutely Fabulous (Ahhhhh even now the name haunts me
)
Of the vaguely modern stuff I find only the Simpsons funny but even that has gone a bit stale with too many celebs trying to get some free publicity
As for the rest of the modern stuff I cannot say any of them really make me laugh so I think I'll stay in my oldie timewarp.
