There is a big run of allis shad in the Wye and Usk (tributes of the Severn). My brother caught one on hook and line in West Bay harbour near Bridport, Dorset so they turn up in plenty of other places too - just not in any sort of number. Unless.....doghound is right and I'm thinking of the twaite shad? |
