The rain in the last two or three days has been very unevenly spread - I heard on the local news that flash floods had affected a school at Bar Hill, but on my part of the Huntingdonshire Wolds we had very little and what there was the fields just soaked up. Also the harvest here is just about finished. I gather at Wandlebury at the end of July nettles and plantains were dying and the berries were falling off the hawthorns through lack of rain.
