Rain in Cambridgeshire

Quote from henrya <Another plea from Cambridgeshire for lots more rain please! ... The damage being done to wildlife by the low rainfall this year is not easily reversible.> Endquote

I don't know in what part of the county you are but yesterday as I drove from Peterborough eastwards there was quite a lot of water lying in the fields. Maybe in a month or so a lot more rain will be appreciated by me; not this early when crops are still being harvested.
One of my lasting memories was of a dawn the last year the Nene Washes were flooded. To see 400+ Tundra Swan (Berwick's) take off and fill the sky was something I shall never forget. I would love to see a repeat performance.
I do agree that much wildlife is suffering but maybe if we humans were more careful in our use of such a lifegiving resource who knows but there might be enough for all without the need to plead for more.
