Sadly no. Nor the Squacco Heron that was there in June. I don't seem to have much luck, I'm afraid.
Take this morning - the Dartford ringing group were there again today (I think they are there most Sundays) and they'd had a kingfisher in the nets before I arrived. That's another bird that I've never seen (apart from a 1/10th of a second flash of blue and orange which doesn't really count) and I missed it again! Ho hum. There were compensations like this juvenile blackcap...
Or even this migrant hawker which also got caught in the bird nets...
They let him go without a ring!
