Hello Everyone, joined today , I'm a retired pensioner with a large garden & large pond.Today I saw a caterpillar swimming in my pond,bang in the middle on pondweed.Fished him out,identified him as an Elephant Hawk Moth Caterpillar. He seemed no worse for wear getting wet,but this is the question ? how did he get there and from where ? There is nothing overhanging he could have fallen from. |
