That's usually very true! Some of the ones I quoted above worked out horribly expensive over the complete series. However, this one is only £1.99 per issue (99p for issue 1) and the binders are free. According to the web site the plan is for 52 issues which will mean 4 volumes of 13 issues each at a total cost of £102.48, or £25.62 per volume. Most large format, hardback wildlife books with full colour photos throughout would cost about the same these days.
