Blimey!!

Hope this is the right forum for this! Just had to tell you all that when I was doing some clearing up in the garden this moring I was amazed to see just how many of my spring bulbs are already showing their faces. My daffs are 2-3 inches out of the ground and my snowdrops are going to be flowering around Christmas time at this rate.
As I live in Scotland this is amazing as our weather usually precludes this happening until at least February as a rule.
I just hope that with all this mild weather (we've had not a single flake of snow yet) that the birds don't start nesting too early.
Last year in a town near us a blackbird laid her eggs in February and the council rigged up special heat bulbs in the tree to try to ensure that the nestlings survived. All the residents made sure that there was food available for her, in the form of bowls of mealworms etc. The nestlings sadly, didn't make it as the weather in February was dreadful but it was nice to see the council, media and residents all pulling together to try to help the little family out.

Righ I'll stop wittering on now or Sue will be rapping my knuckles. LOL

Have a good day all.

Eileen.
