Our son James came into my bedroom thismorning to announce there was a pigeon in the living room!!!!
Of course I didn't believe him at first, but after prizing myself out of my bed and investigating, yes indeed, there was a pigeon in our living room sat on the TV!!!

Hubby had gone to work leaving the back door open and it had just wandered in (travelling approx 30ft) and settled in the lounge!
I phoned hubby to see how long he would be and all he did was laugh!
I put some bird food in the middle of the carpet to try and lure it onto the floor, but that didn't work. The poor gerbils were stomping their feet in fright (they hate birds) so after getting dressed I got hubbies large fishing net from the garage and slowly crept up to it. Just as I was going to pounce, it took off and thankfully flew all the way through the house and out the back door - phew!!!
Here's the intruder now settled back on my roof....
Looks quite pleased with itself doesn't it?!?
Btw, does anyone know what those bands on it's legs mean? There's a flock of these pigeons (all different colours) that regularily sit on my roof but this is the only one with bands on. Is it a homer do you think?
