From what eeyore has said it hasn't got even to the booting up stage, therefore I would stand by my original theory of faulty motherboard or perhaps processor.

Yes possibly but my suggestions were for Nightshade's machine which may not be under warranty now and just lying in a garage for example. Depends how badly the pics are wanted
