There was a famous egg thief died last year after falling out of a larch tree while "looking" at a Sparrowhawk nest
, he had previously taken a chainsaw to a tree to try to get at an Osprey nest. In 1985 his egg collection was confiscated and he had over 2000 eggs, including Golden Eagle and Red Kite(very rare back then).
