As far as foreign nationals go if we were to omit all flora and fauna that have been either introduced or have escaped from captivity into this country, we'd have a large gap in the British List!
I know we have to draw a line somewhere, and using the BOU list for example seems sensible but, to my mind such creatures as Grey Squirrels, Little Owls, Mandarin Ducks etc, are foreign species no matter whos list they are on. Also not everybody has the BOU list, or wants to spend time serching through the list. They just want to upload pictures which they have taken, and find interesting, so I don't see the harm in putting them in the Foreign Nationals Gallery. To my mind this gallery isn't particularly full anyway.
It seems to come down to server space everytime, but I would rather see a download limit for each member than restrict some images when there is after all a gallery (Foreign Nationals) for them. The other option would be to delete the gallery! |
