You may need the decent gear, the southern uplands and Cheviot are covered in snow today. We went out onto Kielderhead yesterday and got caught in a blizzard - not nice.
You probably know this but the BTO are running an upland bird survey for hillwalkers, if you see any Ptarm's, Ouzels etc, I'm sure they'd like to know!
