It might be worth popping to Loch Leven while your there, you get all sorts of birds this time of year. I always tend to stay at Speyside when I go up there, so have got to know the northern Cairngorms area quite well. If you do go accross to the west, It's always worth a trip through Glencoe - even in bad weather.
