You have some fantastic reserves around north Kent, far better than anything around here. You just think what places you could visit within a 40 mile radius of where you live and you will realise what a wealth of birdlife there is around you.
The Midlands is not a hot bed for birdlife as we are dead centrally landlocked area of England and the birds here take some finding. The common ones are ok but anything different and you really have to know where to go.
Around where I live you really only have one reserve, Brandon Marsh, and that only attracts something diifferent on the odd occasion. Once you have visited there you are not likely to see anything different on any more visits for a while.
In some respects I would love to live in certain parts of Kent within reach of some of those reserves but I think I will have to win the lottery to be able to do that.
