I certainly concur on this - there was a calculation in the guardian that showed that the carbon footprint of just the new jersey and london gigs (including people travelling to be there) was the equivalent of over 7000 people flying to america and back - now thats one lot of CO2

it may have been great musically but I severely doubt that it will make an iota of difference to the pollitical actions - or inactions on global warming or that it will influence even enough peoples behaviour to even to offset its own carbon footprint. About the only saving grace is the money raised for environmental charities - assuming this gets to where it is needed rather than being wasted on pointless admin.
