Re: Councils - not all bad

Hi from south london,

Just wanted to input on this,

Sutton council has tried to produce some wildlife areas amongst its rural areas. Some of these areas contain things such as bug houses, bat boxs, wild flower areas as well as the normal bird boxs etc.

Mitcham still maintains its common land as it was many years ago. Overgrown grass areas, Dense woodlands, Swamp marshs etc etc.

Epsom & Ewell & croydon again is doing what it can, granted small amounts on top of there exsisting green belt areas.,

And recently in brixton (lambeth council i think) is trying to start such areas.

The word does appear to get around, naturally in most of the boroughs i have mentioned there isnt alot of green land around their communities but if these can try then they all can.

Oh and as a pointer, I yet to check it out but apparently theres hogs in one of the areas in sutton, so possibly good news already
