I also back up my pics using CDs. I use CD RW so that I can add new pictures. With my old and defunct PC, I used Tescos finest because they and the PC were primitive. I now find that my new PC will not entertain Tescos, but will take Phillips. I find the different types of CD and DVD a bit of minefield.

I have just made a movie of my son's wedding from my video camera and have downloaded it both to the CD and DVD. Both work on my computer, but neither on my DVD player. I used Nero to burn the DVD and it said that the DVD would be OK in most DVD players. I shall have to try someone else's - unless there is something I am missing.

Usually my guv'nor points me in the right direction but she is not computer literate, to say the least. (She is better at the new microwave than I).
