xp has a cd writer built in - you go to edit - copy to folder , then copy whatever files you wish to write to your cd drive , then go to "my computer" double click on the cd drive icon to open it then select the files as displayed there - then you click on file - write these files to cd and voila it opens the burning wizard and does it for you.
