Hello everyone, the easiest way to check out the work of East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service is to check with the Charities Commission, where we are listed under our initials East Sussex WRAS. I am the founder of the organisation and Maz is one of our duty co-ordinators - unfortunately Maz suffers from dyslexia but he is a very hard working volunteers and really cares about widlife.
Our new website is
Untitled Document (still partially under construction) and we are well know in the East Sussex area. Our Registered Charity Number is 1108880. The address Maz gave is that of our Treasurer Peter Mortimer. Sussex Police also use us for road casualties.
This is my 22nd year undertaking wildlife rescue and conservation work - also used to work for BTCV when I was younger as the Local Groups Officer based at Hastings too.
We are listed on numerous animal rescue websites. We are members of the British
Hedgehog Preservation Socity we work under instruction from the St Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Buckinghamshire for certain species like deer. We are on call for the Southdowns
Badger Group and the Sussex Bat Hospital. We have undertaken work for the
Badger Trust in the past.
If any one has any concerns over the validity of our organisation you are welcome to contact me direct on my private mobile 07813-103474 or if you are concerned about a rescue then please call our rescue line on 07815-078234.
East Sussex WRAS is a completely voluntary organisation and we are short of funds at the moment due to extremely high vets bills we have been receiving for the past 18 months. If anyone in the East Sussex area would like to help volunteer or donate money then please get in touch with us.
Many Thanks for your time.
