Agree that it is the Pyrenean Valerian but it just proves that you need more than one guide book to ID plants. The much praised Rose doesn't include it but there is a very clear drawing in Blamey and Grey-Wilson who say that it is naturalised in a few woods in western Britain and Ireland |
