My first hello got lost in cyberspace. Last week I found a newt in a plastic tub so I Googled "newt" and found you!
You take marvellous photos and seem like a nice down-to-earth bunch with a great sense of humour!
I live out in the sticks with my long-suffering husband, in a cottage in Wales, rebuilt from a heap of rubble. It's on a beautiful hillside though, overlooking a delightful valley which echoes to the sound of birds and other creatures night and day. Our "garden" was a nightmare jungle 6 feet high! The only water feature we enjoyed was that which cascaded down the inside of the caravan door whenever it rained!
The dream is for a wildlife haven/arboretum. The trees and hedges had been cut for firewood.
Twelve years on, it's been hard work with a lot of setbacks, but the dawn chorus is amazing so is the abundant variety of wildlife. I'm passionate about everything living and rescued all sorts of unusual souls over the years: starfish, baby shark, huge jellyfish; crow, buzzard, magpie, frozen lamb, bats - plus the usual ie abandoned cats, dogs, people, and neglected supermarket plants! Now I'm tired and need a bit of rescuing myself!
