An interesting question. I would imagine that it's possible but for something like a hawk it would seriously impact it's hunting ability and therefore very quickly be removed from the gene pool! Probably the same would apply for the hawk's prey if it couldn't see him coming

But I guess there are other species for whom it wouldn't be such a problem. For example Wild Boar which doesn't need good distance vision for foraging and, here in the British countryside, doesn't have any predators (other than us) that it needs to keep an eye out for.
