| Re: Storyville: An english village - BBC showing bias towards pro fox hunters I dont agree with killing anything for fun or for sport but i would stress that not everybody who hunts (in the wider sense rather than just riding to hounds) is a blood thirsty barbarian.
There are situations where foxes need to be controlled, for instance I know of at least one wildlife trust which controls them to protect ground nesting birds - but chasing them accross country with a pack of hounds is not an effective way to do it - going out at night with a lamp and a rifle , or a lamp and a long dog (collie cross lurcher) is far more effective.
and in answer to the original post it doesnt sound as tho that was the most balanced or well made documentary , but then I have also seen documentaries which are overly biased in the other direction - I think the beeb does quite a good job of being neutral as a channel in that they show documentaries covering both viewpoints.
