Teacher in Wiltshire Hello, I joined this forum a few days ago and am really enjoying it.
I have been photographing and trying to identify trees fanatically for the past few years. I am finding willows and elms particularly headache-inducing! I am writing a book about British trees including photos, pressed leaved, old folk-lore and anything at all about trees that is of interest.
Apart from that I am an ex-Oceanographer, ex-Royal Navy Lieutenant, and have been teaching for 12 years (in and out of the Armed Forces). I currently teach boys with Emotional and Behavioural Problems in a private school near Salisbury. I mostly try to teach them to say nice things to each other but officially it is maths and science.
I love trees, birds, animals, children, sailing and my garden. Probably almost in that order although my husband of course comes top of the list.
I really look forward to talking to people on this forum and to learning more about this wonderful world we live in.
