Imaginos, you're right to put these figures in the context of total population figures, but remember that these losses refer to one wind farm development only (albeit a huge one). If these schemes are replicated in other parts of the UK then the losses start to seem less insignificant (if they were insignificant in the first place, arguably not for golden eagles and merlin).
