Well done Sven, we have two Green councillors in Sheffield (still even with the tories

but hopefully will overtake them soon) and even I voted for them this year [perhaps should explain that as a life-long 'Old Labour' member I have been voting Liberal for years just to keep the Tories out! This was, formerly, one of two safe Conservative wards in Sheffield ... Complicated?

] - the tories are now about down to rock bottom so I think it's safe to vote for someone else!
Fortunately, nationally, there seems to have been no great swing to the Tories (indeed, they're losing councillors in much of the north) so Campbell's (that's their leader's name?) "green" con is obviously not working!
Keep up the good work, Paul

The Greens have gone from 6 to 12 seats on the council, in the city where we got 22% in the last General Election. I am really excited by this, and hope that the new bigger group can make real differences for the environment in B+H, and maybe at the next GE get the first Green MP in Britain.
I'm not assuming that you all share my political inclinations, but still wanted to let you know, in an (I hope) understandable display of enthusiasm. Humour me.
I guess I better be careful about what I say from now on!
