I work in a country Park, and sadly your story about the moorhen Neil is all too familiar. I would like to state however that the majority of most fisherpersons are responsible, indeed iv had many a chat with some lovely fisher-folk who have a deep love and respect for the countryside and its creatures, sadly however there seems to be a select few that let the side down and behave irresponsibly. I would like to praise the work of help organisations such as swan rescue who rescued 3 swans at the country park last year and do a truely fantastic job!
