| Re: Wildflower or weed? Just planted some seeds today in a friend's garden. It will die away completely most years and then come again the following spring from seeding itself about. Occasionally it comes up again in the autumn. In this case it is usually killed by any hard frost - but not always, as was seen in my garden last year, where it came up after the drought ended in October, then most of it overwintered successfully and is now in flower.
I usually just let it seed where it wants, but it is pretty easy to collect the seed, which is about the size of a peppercorn, and disperse it to another part of the garden. |
