I've got that lens and it's very good.
The macro ratio is 2:1 so it still gives a reasonably close image, a small word of caution though, the slightly larger f-stop means that it is not possible to hand hold it whilst taking macro shots unless the subject is bathed in bright sunlight.
Aside from this its a first class bit of gear, extremely well built and nice to use.
Kind of sad really, with me buying an EOS 20D it means that this nikon fit lens is now no longer in use unless I go back to using the F80 35mm slr, and to be honest thats not going to happen is it
