| The nature of nature I've just been reading Beryl's account of the dead swan and fully appreciate her distress having come across a similar incident last year on a canal bank near Bridgewater. We assumed a fox was responsible because of all the feathers which remained.
We marvel at owls when we see them - forgetting that they kill mice and other small creatures to survive; likewise badgers eat hedgehogs as hedgehogs eat frogs and snakes. etc. Sadly the killing of one species by another is the nature of nature. |
