This is more or less the lowest part of the garden. The tree in the middle distance is a young ash on the edge of the drive.
It used to be very wet here - you can see that there was still some Common Reed last year. All these dry summers and winters have caused it to dry out.
The big patch of Blackthorn has encroached from the left in the last few years, and I'm undecided how to manage it, as the patch it has grown from is getting a bit old.
There is still plenty of Dogs Mercury.
