Thats ok glsammy Im sure its not very often Canon damage a lens I think I think I have just been un lucky. My only worry is that they start to say its not Canon at fault and that they cant prove the chip was done by the technician...I know what companys are like they try everything to get out of the blame. Im sure it will work out ok, its just frustraiting and not nice feeling you have been treated badly...

Dont feel bad mate im sure this happens very rarely and its sods law im the unlucky one...

Infact I have just been out woth the kids and dog in my local area and seen loads of birds and had a lovely time without a lens...I saw tree creepers, jays, jackdaws, wagtails, tits, and enjoyed just watching....I sometimes miss the pleasure of just watching as a camera makes you achive targets so to speak...So its good to not have it today...Plus the fact that Ive had enough of cameras for the moment...But still cant wait to get it back I have had time to find some new spots lately which I will focus on when I get my lens back

Take Care

Ian
