Re: Spelling Issues

I should have added to my note (and we have been through this discussion many times before) that, yes, I prefer things to be spelled correctly but I do recognise that some people have definite problems and I do my best to interpret their spellings.
What I don't waste my time on is people who use e-mail abbreviations (when I don't understand them, and I imagine that possibly most people don't?) or telephone text shortenings. I find it easier to type full words than work out how to shorten them and I don't have the time to waste interpreting what is effectively a new language! If I want to do that, I'll take up Chinese!
So, even my nearest and dearest, if they send a message starting "c u @ wrs .. " get the simple reply "????????"

I do tend to use word for the majority of postings so that I can do a spell and grammer check, as I have a habit of omitting words, adding random words that have no place in what I am saying and also putting letters in the wrong place. In fact at work, when I am making notes I tend to end up writing backwards, it is extremely frustrating I can tell you. Whilst its ok, when you have a checker, to write it down with pen and paper can be a complete minefield. I am very pleased that my current employement choose to actually do telephone interviews for the intial contact rather than hand written letter and cv. After all the covering letter is only asking for the job and can cv's really be trusted? Surely its about the person and what they can contribute to a position rather than what is written down.

I understand why people do feel strongly about the english language, spelling and grammer, but well some people cant help it. It would be a very boring place if we were all the same.

(I have checked as best as I can for spelling and grammer, sorry if there are still some errors)
