Sure, if you're a poet or singer then you can take all sorts of liberties with the language; if you'r among friends talking jargon or abbreviations can save time
but
when trying to communicate publicly in an objective way then surely the words you use need to be precise and correct. It's easy enough to misunderstand people without incorrect spellings ...... so it's always worth running a spell-check, to pick out the tysop, at least
