| Re: Spelling Issues When I have to wade through job applications, the first hurdle for prospective employees is their handwriting. All submissions have to have an accompanying letter written in long hand (printed C.V.'s not withstanding). Those that are illegible are straight in the bin. Then, spelling is considered. Anything with spelling errors is also consigned to the bin. This is how I wheedle out the (sometimes) heavy applications for the one available post.
Those that can't (or won't) be bothered to present themselves in their best possible light stand no chance of being shortlisted for an interview. Hard, but true.
