The wife and I decided to go to a place called Rhossili on the Gower Peninsular. Ther are a few Choughs in the area and as it was supposed to be sunny all day I was looking forward to it.
Well the sun started to play hide and seek and there was no sign of the Choughs. I thought here we go, my usual rubbish day. Was I wrong.
We carried on along the coast to Fall Bay. On the way I had some of my best Dunnock photo’s ever. When we got to Fall Bay I again looked for Choughs. While scanning the cliffs I saw a couple birds that were not quite right to be Gulls. Through my bins I could see they had those funny nostri things on their beak. So took a good few photo’s.
Walking back through the fields I saw my first Yellowhammer, but didn’t have time to get a shot off. We then stopped at a gate for a good while just enjoying the newly born lambs playing and to top it off there were some very colourfull chickens in the farm yard where we joined the road for the walk back to the car.
When I got home I inentified the 2 birds on the cliff to be Fulmar, I was well chuffed.
When I get a good day I get a really good day and when I get a bad day it really is a bad day, nothing inbetween. Today was a really good day.
