Unhappy birds flu

i am worried because of the birdflu and the consequences for the birds returning to their breedingplaces and i am sure you have the same problems in UK also soon.
The returning birds do have problems to find food and nesting places, as the people do not feed anymore ( and we have still a lot of snow here ), remove nests and try to prevent that they built new. Many people demand that the governement allows to remove the nests of swallows and swifts from the housewalls.
Until now it is not allowed to remove the nests of swallows and swifts, as Experts say there is no danger that these insect eating birds can transmit that desease... but you know how afraid humen react and most will NOT ask before they kill birds or destroy nests...
And i do not want to think about, what it will mean for the returning birds of prey , which are belonging to the birds which do transmit the flu.....
