Be sure to take earplugs with you. We spent 2 weeks on Lewis some years ago and the corncrake crex crexing outside the bedroom window in the early hours became somewhat irritating after a few days. While it was one bird that we were hoping of seeing, it is possible to have too much of a good thing! |
