I can also write fairly legibly with my right hand due to losing the use of my left hand for a year as a girl.

Jaki, I use cutlery right-handed. We live in a mostly right-handed world and I think many left-handed people just learned to do things right-handed because there are more right-handed tools/equipment around - scissors, golf clubs, guitars, for example. It must be a real pain using left-handed scissors.
How do you thread a needle, Jaki? I hold the needle in my right hand and put the thread through with my left. I have been told that this is left-handed.
I have always had trouble with directions and I have always put this down to being left-handed (or ambidextrous). I am one of those people who has to hold a map upside down when I am travelling south

I cannot reverse directions in my head.
