After a morning spent trying to photograph the little Grebe in my area I gave up after a few hours and went for walk. I am glad I did as I got to photograph my first Heron. The pics have had a slight crop. But im well chuffed with them.



I hope to catch a pair soon as last year they were catching eels and I did not have a decent camera then so I missed out. But fingers crossed for this summer.

Ian, excellent shots, I prefer the cropped ones for the purpose of ashot of a heron as it were. If you were presenting an illustrated talk then I suggest the uncropped shot would have it's place. I like them all!
