Dragonfly Facts
- Fossil records show that dragonflies are some of the most ancient creatures on earth, with an ancestory that spans more than 300 million years.
- Travelling at almost 30mph, dragonflies are the fastest insects in the UK.
- From egg to death, the lifecycle of a dragonfly can be anything up to 6 or 7 years, but only a couple of months of this time will be spent as a flying adult.
- Dragonflies have almost 360 degree vision.
